Wenger Signed 2 yr deal with Gunners..

The Frenchman has reportedly agreed terms on a deal with Gunners that would take him until 2016.

According to reports, the contract would see Wenger continue on the same £7.5million-a-year salary he currently earns – but there would be bonuses for winning silverware.

The move would take Wenger close to two decades in charge of Arsenal and ends speculation over his future, with PSG known to be keen on signing him.

The 63-year-old will also be in charge of an increasingly large transfer kitty over the next two years, with the club’s advertising revenue continuing to grow.

Arsenal signed an extension to their Emirates contract last year while further cash is due to arrive in the summer when a kit deal with Puma is signed.

Arsène Wenger on Spending Big this January

Arsène Wenger:

"I had a huge sense of responsibility when we built the stadium to get the Club through it without going bankrupt. The first years were difficult, and also explained why we lost some players. Now we are in a more comfortable financial position, I - more than anyone - want the great players to play for Arsenal Football Club. If we have to spend the money to do that, I will spend the money."

"I want to continue to educate 60 to 80 per cent of the squad ourselves. The culture of the club, the way we want to play football and the way we want to behave, comes from within. The Wilsheres, the Ramseys, the Gibbs - these kind of players have to be the culture of the club."

"Then on top of that, we want to bring world-class players who will help us to be even stronger."

why Arsenal should sign Karim Benzema..

Reasons why Arsenal should make a move for Karim Benzema

World class striker

Don’t go by his current form. It can happen to anyone, every player goes through bad patches. They say form is temporary, class is permanent. Benzema is world class and should walk into any team in this world.

Must need striker

Arsenal badly need a striker this January. They simply cannot rely on Olivier Giroud to deliver the entire season and there is not enough back-up for him, should he get injured. Therefore, Benzema presents the perfect and ideal strike option for them.

He is just 25

Yeah, he is just 25. He must not be seen as Real Madrid-reject but Arsenal must see the bigger picture here. His best playing days (about to reach the peak) are infront of him and this is the time Wenger must capitalize.

Lone striker/French combo

Benzema can be used as a lone striker in the squad or Wenger could use him as a strike partner of his fellow countryman Olivier Giroud.

Ozil connection

Ozil and Benzema partnership worked fairly well at Real Madrid and there’s no reason why it should not work at Arsenal again. Plus, Benzema has the perfect blue-print in front of him in the form of Ozil, who has settled in nicely and is firing all cylinders. Same can happen with him.

Cut-price

Arsenal could actually get him on a cut-price of around £20m. That is reasonably cheap amount taking into consideration that he was valued at £40m in the summer

Bid for Real Madrid striker in January Wenger hinted..

There has been some reports which have claimed Arsenal Boss Arsene Wenger has dropped a big hint of a bid for Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema, after he admitted he could play alongside Olivier Giroud

Wenger said:
Giroud and Benzema can play together. But up until now, their partnership has not worked so they must find another way.

“It’s always hard. But you must have guys who are giving good assists as well as guys who score.”

The striker would be available for just £17 million and that would be a great bit of business by the club .

Arsenal £40 million swoop in January window

There has been some reports which claim Arsenal are lining up a massive £40 million swoop for Swansea star Michu in the January window.

The Swansea player is a priority for the club, who already showed their interest in signing him in the summer window.

Wenger thinks the attacker is a rising star, so deals will presented in the coming months.

Swansea will not want to let him go and it would be a shock if he ended up at the Emirates in January.

Benzema – Giroud is a good striker

Karim Benzema has been speaking to the media in France ahead of their World Cup qualifiers and he was, predictably, asked about his competition with Olivier Giroud and his own poor scoring record recently.
Benzema has not scored for France since June 2012 and was dropped by manager Didier Deschamps last month. In that time Olivier Giroud has scored twice [against Spain and Gerorgia] and much has been made in the media about the competition between the two players.

Benzema said:
“I’m living this situation very well, I’m not unhappy."
“I want to score, to be better, that’s normal. I love football, I love playing, I’m lucky to have had few injuries."
"I cannot say I’m unhappy, I’m just annoyed that I’m not scoring."
“It’s a bit harder than previous years but it’s part of the career of a top level footballer."
“You get periods like this… you just have to keep working hard, don’t fall into a routine.”
“He [Giroud] is a good striker, he plays well. That’s good for us (France). There’s competition everywhere, we here for the team. It’s not a match between Giroud and Benzema.”

Dortmund in big Trouble.

Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp has been banned for the first leg while key midfielders Nuri Sahin and Ikay Gundogan have also been ruled out of the first leg. While the former stands a chance of making the 2nd leg, the latter doesn’t.

Without those 2, their midfield is certainly lightweight and will make it easier for#Arsenal’s creative midfield to overrun them. That not with standing, Arsenal cannot expect 3 points to fall on their lap. They need to play with grit and strength so as to bag all 3 points at the Emirates and a point at the Signa Iduna Park would put us on the cusp of qualification and also winning the group.

Highly Rated Goalkeeper Matt Macey landed at Arsenal....

#Arsenal are favourites to land highly rated Bristol Rovers goalkeeper, Matt Macey.

The gunners have won the race ahead of Everton to sign the 18 year old goalkeeper from Bristol Rovers

The 18 year old was reported to have impressed Arsene Wenger when he had his trial at Arsenal in September and the Frenchman is willing to offer him a contract.

Arsenal already signed Emiliano Vivano on loan from Italian side, Palermo at the start of the season

Arsenal Legend Will end his Career at Emirates

The Internet has been kicked up into frenzy ever since talk started circulating about Henry’s desire to return to #Arsenal, either as a player in order to end his career at the club that made him a legend or in a coaching capacity. Nothing has been confirmed yet, but rumors persist everywhere, ranging from Twitter to Facebook. #DennisBergkamp recently revealed that he was in constant touch with #PatrickViera and #ThierryHenry, and that they would all love to return to Arsenal one day. One can hardly refuse such an offer, especially if the deadly partnership of#Henry and #Bergkamp can be fostered in Arsenal’s future generations. However, Henry himself is still an active player, and the possibility of him returning to Arsenal to end his career is a very realistic one. If Henry were to return, it would be an amazing prospect.

PSG move ruled out by Wenger, Emirates is my home.

Arsene Wenger rules out #PSG move by insisting he’ll never leave #England

The Arsenal manager is into his 17th year in charge of the Gunners, having arrived in English football as an unknown in 1996.

But while he is now very much part of the furniture of English football, Ligue 1 moneybags PSG have been chasing him for the last 18 months.

The Qatari-backed outfit made a move for Wenger in the summer and are planning further advances at the end of the season, with his contract running down at Arsenal.

However, despite previously admitting his interest in coaching PSG, Wenger says he will never coach outside of England ever again.
